Bronx athletes rub shoulders with Heisman

Some of the best high school football players and coaches from around the tri-state area got to rub shoulders with Heisman at a special breakfast Monday.

Two Bronx stars were honored at the Heisman High School All-Star Breakfast. One of them was Lehman Head Coach Carmine Colasanto, and the other was Hayes running back Mike Allen. Allen received an award for being a Heisman high school player of the week earlier in the year. He rushed for a Catholic League single-game record of 382 yards against St. John the Baptist.

USC running back Reggie Bush, the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner, spoke to the crowd and offered advice to the seniors heading off to college.
