Bronx MTA commuters look for alternate ways into NYC

If MTA services are shut down throughout the city, driving to work won't be an option for many Bronx residents. From 5 to 11 a.m., all cars going into Manhattan must have at least four people in the vehicle. The same restriction applies to the Bruckner Expressway, the Henry Hudson Parkway and Mosholu Parkway going into the city. In order to help commuters fill their cars, park and ride locations will be available at Van Courtlandt Park, Orchard Beach, Ferry Point Park and Yankee Stadium. Officials say even with carpooling huge delays on the roads are expected. A shuttle train service will also run from Yankee Stadium and many of the Metro-North stations.
