Two men arraigned in shooting death of police officer from the Bronx

Two men charged with murdering a New York City police officer in the Bronx were arraigned Thursday.Daniel Enchautegui, 28, was off duty when he apparently tried to stop an attempted robbery. Officials say before Enchautegui was killed he managed to shoot both of the suspects, 48-year-old Steven Armento and 29-year-old Lillo Brancato Jr. Brancato was arraigned on second-degree murder charges. Armento was arraigned on a first-degree murder charge and could face life in prison without parole if convicted.
