Transit workers put down picket signs and head back to work

Transit workers have put down their picket signs and headed back to work, now that the three-day transit strike has come to an end.

With the end of the strike comes relief on many levels. Bronx commuters can get back to riding subways and buses, local businesses can get back to the holiday rush and transit workers can get back on the job. Many workers say the last few days have not been easy. Workers say they?ve been criticized by people as high up as the governor and the mayor, calling them thuggish and greedy. The workers say they only went on strike because they felt it was necessary for their livelihood.
