Bronx Lebanon Hospital patients may have been exposed to tuberculosis in 2003
Health officials are warning that as many as 1,500 patients at Bronx Lebanon Hospital may have been exposed to tuberculosis. Officials from the city health department say in 2003 a maternity nurse may have infected four infants with the disease. The Center for Disease Control says the nurse came into contact with more than 1,000 patients they haven't been able to find. Officials are asking anyone who was a patient in the maternity ward from September to December 2003 to call 311 to arrange for confidential testing.
