'Meals on Wheels' brightens the holidays for Bronx seniors

Volunteers with ?Meals on Wheels? helped brighten up the holidays for many Bronx seniors Sunday.

The volunteers are part of the oldest and largest organization in the U.S. that provides meal services to people in need. For many seniors, the delivered meals are their lifeline. Program directors say on holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, the number of meals delivered doubles.

The volunteers say they gave up Christmas morning with their families to give back to the community. Residents say they volunteer to impact someone else?s life in a positive way.
