Some Castle Hill tenants on Seward Avenue won't be left in the dark, cold

Some Castle Hill tenants on Seward Avenue won?t be left in the dark and cold this winter.

Con Edison had planned to cut the electricity to a building on Seward Avenue because the landlord hadn?t paid his bills. Now, Con Ed says the bills have been cleared. A spokesperson for the landlord says the service has not been interrupted. The spokesperson adds there is little chance the landlord would allow the power to be turned off.

Con Ed bills indicate the landlord owed approximately $30,000. Many residents are relieved that bills have been paid. However, some remain skeptical that the power may eventually be cut.

sorry to interrupt
