Crime not deterring people from flocking to Mott Haven

Many say popularity in Mott Haven is on the rise even though police recently reported an increase in crime in the area.

Many continue to zero in on property. Peter Dupre owner of NYC?s Ruby restaurant, says he plans on opening a second eatery in Mott Haven. He says crime will decrease with the increase of livelihood on the streets. However, with a new restaurant on the way and a sudden jump in the worth of brownstones, some residents fear the changes will price people out. But, developers say the structure of Mott Haven allows a happy medium between all economic classes.
