Police search for man accused of raping 16-year-old Bronx girl

Police are searching for a man accused of raping a 16-year-old Bronx girl Thursday.

According to police, the man approached the teenager as she was entering her apartment on Aqueduct Avenue. Police say the girl was forced up to the rooftop at knifepoint, where she was sexually assaulted and robbed of jewelry.

The teen is in stable condition at North Central Bronx Hospital. Police say they have a good description and a security videotape of the suspect. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (1-800) 577-TIPS (8477).
