State Senator Kruger claims Web site 'low-balls' cost of Medicare drug plans

The Medicare Web site is inaccurate according to State Senator Carl Kruger (D-Brooklyn). Kruger claims drug costs for the new Medicare Part D program are routinely "low-balled" on the site. He says the Medicare Web site is misleading seniors by severely underestimating the costs of prescription drugs. According to Kruger, many Bronx seniors are in for a rude awaking January 1st when the new Medicare Part D program is set to take affect. A spokesperson for Medicare says the Web site is accurate and seniors should be confident in the decisions they make. Related link Medicare Spotlights
