Mayor Bloomberg outlines wish list in State of the City address

Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R-NY) revealed his second-term wish list in his fifth State of the City address Thursday.

The address focused on new ways to crack down on guns and a detailed plan for rebuilding the World Trade Center site. Bloomberg recently spoke out harshly against gun violence after the shooting deaths of two New York City police officers.

Bloomberg was re-elected to a second term in November. In past State of the City addresses, he has discussed budget deficits, education reform and tax refunds. The address was given on Staten Island, which completed a five-borough State of the City tour.
