Firefighters injured battling blaze at Bronx apartments

? Several firefighters are recovering from injuries they sustained while battling a four-alarm blaze at a Bronx apartment tower Sunday evening.
The fire started on the 24th floor in one of the Tracey Towers buildings on Moshulu Parkway around 4 p.m. Assistant Fire Chief Robert Sweeney says a window blew out, causing a blowtorch effect and forcing firefighters to retreat. Nine men were injured. Many of them were treated at hospitals and released, but three suffered second-degree burns.
Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in one hour. Some residents suffered from minor smoke inhalation.
