Manhattan, FDU go tit for tat in NIT game

? The Manhattan Jaspers hosted the Fairleigh Dickenson Knights in the NIT Tuesday.
The Jaspers quickly built a 12-point lead. The Knights responded by tying the game at 45 by halftime. In the second half, the Knights took the lead and the Jaspers called a time out. It worked because Manhattan?s Jeff Xavier scored 22 points, but FDU just wouldn?t quit. One of their players made 21 points, which tied the game for the second time at 74.
In the end, Manhattan walked off the court with the 80-77 win. The team will play at College Park Saturday.
