Co-op City PBA strike stretches into day five
Day five of the Co-op City Police Benevolent Association (PBA) strike finds picketers lined up along Bartow Avenue. Striking peace officers say Riverbay Management, which runs the buildings in Co-op City, has inaccurately presented their contract demands to residents. They say officer deployment; work schedules and pensions are the major sticking points. The Co-op City PBA president says the people being hurt by the strike are the buildings residents. But police in the 45th Precinct say there has not been a spike in crime in the area. News 12 The Bronx attempted to reach Riverbay Management, but the office is closed on Sundays.
