Vandalisms, trash dumping run rampant in Throgs Neck

? Throgs Neck homeowners want vandalisms and trash dumping, which they feel is devaluing their neighborhood, to stop.

Residents say kids from nearby areas spray graffiti on buildings and repeatedly break windows on newly constructed multi-million dollar homes. Homeowners also say the Department of Sanitation has ticketed them for the mess in an abandoned lot, but residents do not know who owns the property.

Throgs Neck resident and City Council member Jimmy Vacca (D-13th District) says he is working with the Department of Sanitation and hopes to get an increased police presence in the area.
