Mother pleads for justice in the shooting death of her son in Morris Heights

With tears streaming down her face, the mother of the 2-year-old killed by a stray bullet in Morris Heights made a plea Monday for help in catching the gunman.

Joanne Sanabria's son David Pacheco Jr. was killed Easter Sunday when a bullet pierced through his family's minivan. The shooting happened at West Tremont and Grand Avenue around 2 p.m. Sanabria clutched her son's favorite toy while she spoke about her wish to bring the gunman to justice. She says she hopes to draw attention to the problem of gun violence by speaking out.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
