Suspect in toddler's death surrenders to police at News 12 The Bronx studios
lobby Monday.
Nicholas Morris came to the News 12 studios to tell his side of the story. The suspect says he is completely innocent in the shooting of David Pacheco, who was hit by a stray bullet while sitting in his family?s minivan. Morris says he was blocks away when he heard the gunfire erupt. According to Morris, he rushed away from the sound of gunfire moments after the incident occurred.
Morris says police have searched his home and recovered weapons. However, he says those guns don?t work and they were not the weapons involved in the shooting. Police also want to speak with Morris? friend, Ronneil Gilliam.
