Manhattan makes staffing moves on, off basketball court

? Manhattan College is losing a guard and the school is reportedly looking to Connecticut to fill its vacant coaching spot.

Manhattan College confirms it released sophomore Jeff Xavier from his basketball scholarship. Xavier will transfer to Providence College. The Jaspers are also rumored to be considering University of Connecticut Assistant Coach Tom Moore for the men?s basketball head coach position.

Bobby Gonzalez left Manhattan earlier this month to coach at Seton Hall.
