BX families eligible for Cardinal Scholarship Program

Bronx parents who want to send their children to Catholic schools may now be eligible for the Cardinal Scholarship Program. The program gives financial assistance to low-income families. Three foundations have joined forces to raise money for the program. According to the Endowment for Inner-City Education, the scholarship amounts range anywhere from 25 to 75 percent of the total tuition cost. The Children?s and Inner-City Scholarship funds and the Endowment for Inner-City Education donated $1.5 million over the last two years. This year the archdiocese helped with $500,000. Interested parents can attend an information session on May 6 at Cardinal Hayes High School. Related Information:The Children's Scholarship Fund
