Bronx drivers urged to take it slow during, after heavy downpours

Bronx drivers are urged to take it slow Friday after a night of heavy rain and wind.

Some area roadways are flooded due to heavy rain. Officials say there was heavy flooding on the Bronx River Parkway by Allerton. Residents should give themselves extra time for their commute.

Although, the heavier rain has tapered off, meteorologists say light showers will continue throughout the morning. Residents may see some breaks in the clouds in the afternoon.
