Bronx seniors enrolling in Medicare Part D before May 15 deadline

Eligible Bronx seniors are rushing to apply for the new Medicare Part D prescription drug plan before the May 15 deadline.

However, some seniors say with an estimated 50 different options, choosing the right plan can be confusing. For those needing assistance, a help center has been set up on Southern Boulevard in Longwood.

Those eligible to receive help include single seniors who make no more than $1,300 per month and couples who receive no more than $1,700 per month. Should older Americans miss Monday?s deadline, the next period to enroll starts November 17.Related Information: NYC Department for the Aging
