A missing 3-year-old Bronx boy was found safe on a Brooklyn street Monday, and now the teen accused in his kidnapping is facing a host of charges.
According to police, Brandon Aponte was taken from his father's tattoo parlor on Saturday. Police say they had been looking for 13-year-old Tatiana Morales shortly after the toddler's kidnapping. Aponte's father says Morales lured Brandon outside though he made it clear he didn't want her to take him.
Police say two witnesses spotted the pair in East Flatbush and called authorities. Doctors say initial exams indicate the toddler was unharmed.
Morales was initially arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful imprisonment and kidnapping. Her case has now been handed over to family court where she will be charged as a juvenile.
