Eight Bronx football stars took the field Thursday night in the 11th annual Empire Challenge all-star game held at Hofstra University. Kennedy offensive lineman, Hassan Radoncic, was New York City captain and pumped up his team. Defensive players, Juma McKenley and Torian Martin, made solid contributions to the City team, helping to hold Long Island to 20 points. The game was close with a fourth-quarter touchdown by City to bring the score almost even. Unfortunately for City, the field goal kick was wide and for the third straight time New York City lost to Long Island, 20-19.
