Bronx residents find ways to stay cool as the mercury rises

It may say it's in the 90s but it feels more like it's in the triple digits, leaving Bronx residents searching for ways to keep cool.

For those who have no option but to be outside, keeping hydrated is really important. As for the kids, many have headed to their local parks and pools to cool off. Fruit stand owners in Bronx say the heat has been beneficial to them because business is booming.

Officials urge residents to drink plenty of water, wear light, loose fitting clothes and use sunscreen. They also warn against exercising outdoors.
