Police search for hit-and-run driver who killed elderly Bronx man

Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who killed an elderly Bronx man who was trying to sell papers Friday.

The 67-year-old man was struck on Gun Hill Road near the exit ramp to the Bronx River Parkway just before 5:30 a.m. He was taken to Montifiore Medical Center where he died. Neighbors say the victim was cautious while walking between cars to sell papers. They want police to ticket speeders who make the roadway unsafe.

Police have not released a description of the car or driver.
