Previously undisclosed emergency calls from 9/11 made public
Weeks before the fifth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the city is releasing new audio recordings from that day. The tapes include fire department communications and 911 calls made by victims trapped in the World Trade Center. In March, a court ordered the FDNY to release the recordings. The latest tapes are part of 1,600 calls that hadn?t been released. Voices on the tapes include at least 21 firefighters and emergency medical technicians killed in the towers. Many are heard asking dispatchers where to report for duty.
