Cleanup begins in Bronx after Ernesto blows through borough

Bronx residents spent Sunday surveying the damage left behind from a storm that blew through the borough Saturday.
The strong winds brought down a traffic light and at least two trees next to a Bronx River Parkway entrance ramp. A fallen tree limb also knocked panels off one house and broke a fence. Many homeowners say it could have been worse than a few branches and leaves in the yard.
Con Edison was out in the community distributing water to customers whose electricity went out. The utility estimates at least 900 Riverdale residents were in the dark Sunday morning.
