Bronx residents head to the polls on primary day

Bronx residents head to the polls Tuesday to vote in the primary elections.
Residents are choosing Senate, governor and attorney general candidates to face off in the general elections in November. Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) is up against anti-war candidate and labor organizer Jonathan Tasini. In the gubernatorial race, Democrat Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi are facing off. Another big seat up for grabs in the primaries is the attorney general seat.
Meanwhile, stay-at-home mom Crystal Wade is challenging incumbent Democrat Ruth Hassel-Thompson for District 36?s Senate seat. In the Congressional 17th District, Democrat Jessica Flag is running against Eliot Engel, who has represented the area for 18 years.
Bronx voters should vote at a polling site in their district. The polls will close at 9 p.m.
