Former Fordham Ram, Jets player hopes for better pro future in Canada

A former Fordham University Ram football star is struggling in his second shot at the pros ? this time in Canada.

Kevin Eakin, who played quarterback for Fordham, is in his second year with the Hamilton Tigers in the Canadian Football League. He?s had seven picks this season and only one touchdown.

Eakin was drafted by the Jets after he led Fordham to its first Patriot League title in 2002. However, the team later cut him from the roster.
