Police try to solve mystery in murder of Bronx grandmother

Police in the Bronx have a murder mystery on their hands.

According to authorities, 52-year-old Paula Nieves was stabbed multiple times inside her Fulton Avenue apartment Tuesday. Police say the grandmother may have known her killer because it doesn?t appear someone forced his or her way in. Friends and family members say Nieves was loved by all and often went out of her way for others, despite being confined to her apartment.

Meanwhile, some residents of Nieves?s building say the crime may have been captured on tape if the cameras were working. However, tenants say the cameras haven?t worked in years. Police are asking anyone with information in Nieves?s murder to come forward.
