Fordham Rams to tip off basketball season with new point guard

The Fordham Rams hope to charge into a winning basketball season with the addition of a star point guard from White Plains High School.

David Boykin helped lead his high school to a league title last year. He also took All-State, All-Conference and All-League honors. Head Coach Dereck Whittenberg says he believes Boykin has what it takes to fill the void left by Jermaine Anderson, who graduated.

Last season, the Division I Rams made it to the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament, but lost to Xavier.
