A Bronx family is searching for answers after a driver in City Island hit a woman and left her injured in the rain.

Police say a speeding car hit 63-year-old Virginia West Wednesday night on City Island Avenue. Friends say West had just finished up at a volunteer group when she was hit. West?s family members are now hoping the driver will come forward so they have closure.

West was taken to Jacobi Hospital with multiple injuries. Her family says she is still in critical condition. Both police and West?s family are offering a reward for any information leading to an arrest.
