Bronx-Brooklyn annual matchup highlights intense rivalry
Cardinal Hayes looked to distinguish itself from constant comparisons by shutting out Bishop Ford in a 27-0 victory.Cardinal Hayes and Bishop Ford met in the annual Bronx-Brooklyn football matchup this weekend. Both teams were coming off spectacular 2005 seasons ending with Hayes bearing Ford to take home the city championship. Ford thought they had home field advantage but Hayes came out big, taking a 27-point lead at the half. Ford tried to come back but at the end of the game they remained scoreless.Cardinal Hayes is now 3-3 with the victory. Ford hopes to lick their wounds and come back for a win next weekend.
