Rams kick their way to CHSAA soccer title with win against Xaverian

Fordham Prep took on Xaverian Wednesday for a shot at the CHSAA soccer championship game.

In the second half, Andrew Heitman kicked the ball high in the air, sending it to Delfim Ferreira for the first goal of the game. Fordham?s defense was impenetrable. Ryan Meara had four saves in the match, helping the Rams advance to the city title game with a 1-0 win.

The Rams haven?t appeared in the championship since 1991 when the team beat Holy Cross.
