Bronx volunteers deliver the holiday to those in need

Two thousand Bronx residents living with illnesses dined on Thanksgiving meals Thursday thanks to the organization God?s Love We Deliver.

The mission of the group is to improve the well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. More than 400 volunteers began cooking before dawn and about 180 volunteers, who have cars, picked up the hot meals to deliver to Bronx homes.

The group says it plans to deliver even more meals for Christmas.
