Parents await meeting to learn fate of slain son's Bronx memorial

The parents of a man who was killed in his Edgewater Park neighborhood say they are awaiting a meeting with their housing board to learn the fate of their son?s makeshift memorial.
The parking lot memorial has stood since Jamie Warfel was murdered in 1998. The owners' board sent Warfel?s family a letter saying the memorial must be moved because it blocks parking and causes problems during snow plowing.
The Warfels say they have discussed a possible compromise, but it doesn?t make the situation easier. They will attend a closed board meeting December 13.
