(12/14/06) THE BRONX ? The Lehman girls hoops team took to the court Wednesday in the hopes of derailing high school powerhouse Murry Bergtraum, but the Lady Lions were the ones on the wrong track.
The contest looked to be a laugher from the beginning as Bergtraum led after one by a score of 19-5. Bergtraum pounded Lehman to the tune of 77-23 in a major rout.
Despite the loss, Lehman coach Joseph Yarusso looked on the bright side. Yarusso says the tough loss allowed him to get a good look at what needs to be improved on his team.
