Bronx teens charged in their grandmother's shooting death

Two Bronx teens face charges Saturday in their grandmother?s shooting death.A 14-year-old boy is charged with manslaughter and weapons possession and Luis Pantoja, 16, is charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence in Lydia Santiago?s death. Police say they found three guns, crack cocaine and marijuana in the apartment at 1054 Manor Ave. Cops responded there to a 911 call Friday after the 65-year-old grandmother was shot.
A neighbor told News 12 The Bronx one of the victim?s grandsons said it was an accident. However, some neighbors say the teens have been in trouble before. Santiago was helping care for her handicapped daughter?s four children.
