Bronx parents outraged at potential school move

Two schools of Bronx parents are outraged at the possibility of a full school of high school teens being forced to move in with elementary school children.About 250 high school kids from the Peace and Diversity Academy are being forced out of Lehman High School because of overcrowding. Now, those teenagers may be forced to mix schools with P.S. 93 which includes elementary-age children. Parents of children at both schools are protesting the move.P.S. 39 parents say they don?t want their young children exposed to high school behavior. Parents of students at the Peace and Diversity Academy say they are sick of being forced to move and were promised their own school. The Department of Education (DOE) says they are holding meetings with parents and administrators of both schools. The Peace and Diversity Academy will have to move out of Lehman High School by next fall, therefore, DOE officials hope to make their final decision soon.
