Bicyclists ride across BX, city to remember fallen comrades
Hundreds of bicyclists took to Bronx and city streets Sunday to honor 14 riders who lost their lives last year and to raise awareness.
Riders stopped at City Island and Shore roads where one rider died in the borough. Participants placed a ?ghost bike? at each stop to symbolize the life that was lost there. Organizers say they want the city to keep better records of bicycle accidents.
The grassroots group TIME?S UP! and other associations organized the second annual event.
