Bronx businesses cash in on winter storm

After a slow winter, businesses are finally catching up on sales as Bronx residents prepared for another snowstorm. Some Bronx residents say the first storm of the season caught them off guard. This time they not only bought shovels, sand and salt, but also coats, hats and boots. Business owners say they watched the sales rise as news of the coming snow increased. New York State Department of Transportation officials say due to the snow, they are suspending alternate side parking.
