Many Bronx residents observe Good Friday

In preparation for Easter Sunday, many Bronx residents are observing Good Friday.

Catholic leaders say in the days between Good Friday and Easter many churches see the highest attendance of the year. Christians believe Jesus Christ was crucified and buried on Good Friday. Throughout the day many churches have readings from the gospel about the events leading up to the crucifixion.

Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church held a live procession of Christ?s crucifixion on Crotona Parkway.
