Easier passport process at some BX post offices

Some post offices in the Bronx are now scheduling appointments for those applying for a passport. It's all about cutting the wait time, according to the Bronx Postmaster Joseph Diglio. With the increased airport security, he says more people have been applying for and renewing the travel documents.

Five Bronx post offices accepting appointments are the Woodlawn Station office on Katohah Avenue, the Westchester Square office on Ponton Avenue, the Hunts Point office on Manida Street, the Riverdale post office on Riverdale Avenue and the Baychester office on East Gunhill Road.

Come September, travelers going to Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico and Bermuda will need passports.
