Coaches give back with Bronx Little League camp
Young players are learning the ins and outs of baseball at the 2007 Grand Slam Baseball Camp at the Throgs Neck Little League Field.
Steve Sallustio, who currently coaches at Salesian High School, and Mike Roth, who coaches at Public School 71, are directors for the summer camp.
Roth and Sallustio coached together at Maritime College. The men say they started the program to serve the Bronx community.
Participant Stephen Valdes, 16, agrees the camp is needed. "The fact that they incorporate fun and training ... is really good," Valdes said.
