A Bronx team suffered a setback in its attempt to make a second consecutive appearance in the Babe Ruth League Softball World Series.
The Pelham Bay Belles recently battled Vineland in New Jersey in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament. The Belles lost 6-3 in 10 innings.
The team is now in the losers' bracket.
