The Throgs Neck Little League seniors are enjoying a Section 3 championship title.
The team, made up of players ages 15 to 16, recently beat Elmhurst 18-13. However, the players came up short in the state championships. Still, players are proud of their local title.
"We came out swinging," a player said. "We hit the ball hard. We got walks. We drove runners in."
