Borough institution lives on in GHI Bronx Tennis Classic
The GHI Bronx Tennis Classic chairman says he hopes this year will be part of the tournament?s continued growth.
Carlos Cuevas has been the chairman of the event for 14 out of its 15 years, and he is also the vice president of the New York Junior Tennis League.
Cuevas says that thanks to GHI, the event has become a Bronx institution. The tennis classic gives residents the opportunity to watch world-class tennis for free. Cuevas also says the event couldn?t be held in a better place.
Cuevas says it?s remarkable to watch the event grow from just an idea into a reality.
