Ex-Jaspers hoops coach honored at cancer event
Former Manhattan College basketball coach and NIT Executive Director Jack Powers was honored Monday at the Sixth Annual Citibank Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Outing.
Hofstra men's hoops coach Tom Pecora hosted the event in Garden City.
The event raises money for the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, which provides free housing for cancer patients and their families.
