Jaspers drop three to rival Rams in volleyball match
The Manhattan Jaspers women's volleyball team suffered a loss when it hosted Fordham University Wednesday.
The Fordham Rams took an early lead in the first game and went on to win 30-26, despite a late rally from the Jaspers. The Jaspers and Rams fought for the lead in game two, but Fordham broke away to claim a 30-22 victory. The Rams went on to sweep the match, squashing the Jaspers 30-21 in game three.
Fordham was led by coach Pete Volkert, who formerly led the Manhattan team for seven years.
Next, the Rams will host their seventh annual Rose Hill Classic this weekend.
