DEP to probe odors in Hunts Point area

The city's Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is taking steps to find what's causing the odors residents in Hunts Point have been complaining about.

An engineering consulting firm was hired by the DEP to identify the odors. The ultimate goal is to see what can be done to eliminate them.

While the survey is taking place, residents are asked to call (347) 239-9791 to report odors. The DEP says it will be investigated immediately.
